Hey there,

I downloaded a dashboard widget alarm clock for myself. I set the time, etc and then went to sleep. Woke up the next day with my usual alarm clock. The widget did not ring.
Was it because my computer was on sleep mode??? Do I have to take my computer off sleep mode to use the alarm feature??

Once You've had Mac, you can't go back.... So very true.

Don't know which widget you downloaded but the two I looked at both require that the machine has to be "awake" in order for the alarm to go off.

Regards.

There's a few ways to go about this - Awaken for instance (a real app - not a widget) can wake from sleep to play an alarm sound. You could also use the built-in schedule feature (System Preferences > Energy Savings > Schedule) to wake your Mac before your alarm is set to go off.

Yep both Awaken and Alarm Clock Pro will do what you want to do, plus play a playlist you specify in iTunes, and a whole bunch of other stuff.
