iChat menubar problem

I'm having a problem with the iChat menubar icon. I don't know when this started happening, but it's become a bit of an inconvenience to have another buddy list open. The icon is dim, and from the drop down menu, it says "No Account Enabled" and "Open iChat...". The checkbox next to "show status in menubar" is checked, but nothing shows up.

I've removed my accounts and put them back, restarted, and still nothing. I've unchecked the box, which made it go away, and when it's checked again, still nothing. I tried searching google, but there's nothing related to it at all.

Some help would be appreciated. Thanks, Ben.
