Hey everyone,

my name is Jesse and im new to the forum.

Im writing because my mac refuses to connect to certain websites such as basscentral.com and drumcityguitarland.com. I dont know what to do about it, i mean these sites work with my sisters and dads computers (not macs) so it cant be the router.

Can anyone help me?

-Jesse

NOTE: Thread moved to appropriate forum. Not just anything goes in Anything Goes

Liquid and computers don't mix. It might seem simple, but we see an incredible amount of people post here about spills. Keep drinks and other liquids away from your expensive electronics!

When you say that your "mac refuses to connect to certain websites", what do you mean? Do you get an error message, does the page not render properly, or does your browser simply close? Which browser do you use? A little more information would go a long way...

Did your parents ever change the parental controls on your Mac? I ask this because those websites both work fine for me - and there really isn't anything special about them from a technical standpoint. Seems to me that they are being blocked somewhere along the chain for you.

How does your computer connect to the Internet if it doesn't have built-in Ethernet? Are you using a wireless connection?
