I recently purchased a macbook 2.4 2gb.
After downloading gimp, for some reason there is a delay between the mouse movement and the action of the movement. As in, if i'm using a brush, the paint trails behind my movement by .5 seconds or so. I'm using istat, and the ram situation seems to be fine, usually using around 1gb or so, with many more page ins than page outs. When I open gimp, X11 opens with it, but I didn't manually install it. Any advice? Thanks! Neil |

I just did a system update, installed a new X11, and reinstalled gimp. I've let gimp and X11 both open and close.
I was told to open org.x.X11.plist under prefereneces, then click on new root, then new child and name it wm_ffm ... I can't seem to do this as it just opens a text edit box. Do I need the X11 tools? If so any advice on which one? Here's the link below UNIX GUI Toolkits on Mac OS X |
