Getting around not owning power point

I dont think keynotes can help me here.


My professor has posted these power point slides but they are in pptx format.. she said she refuses to post them in .pot and that I have to update from the MS website to use the pptx files................................


also none of the computers in the computer lab are up datable to use these pptx files.

Also, it looks like OpenOffice 3 can open MS Office 2007 files...
