MacBook - why cant i use photobooth pictures as my msn display pic????

I take a picture on photobooth and i try to use it as my msn display pic but it says its might not be the right format. i dont know what format it should be or how to even change it. any help would be nice!

Well you can tell what format it is by looking at the file extension - .png, .jpg, .gif etc.

And yeah, dunno why you're having that problem really, I've never known it to be an issue. Are you sure you're taking photos and not video snapshots?
