MacBook Pro - final cut audio trick??

Hey guys, im editing on my macbook pro using final cut pro 5.

ive got two audio channels that recorded in stereo, L and R, for a stage production- does anyone know how to make a mono mix IN final cut pro, without just using the exporting options?
