iBook - iChat won't show buddylist...

OK, so I just moved up to school in my new apartment and we have a wireless cable connection. As you can see from me typing this post that I get internet, but I cannot log onto iChat. It logs me on, and everything, but when the buddylist shows up, none of my buddies come up. Then it boots me off saying I have attempted to log on too many times...

What's wrong here!?

Nothing guys ? C'mon? Buddy list pops up but buddies dont load

i had the same problem - buddy list window was there but no buddies on the list, not even the categories. but i figured it out!!!

this is what you need to do:
1. sign in to your AIM screen name on another computer.
2. click on "iChat" at the top of the screen, then click "Preferences"
3. click on the "Accounts" tab, then click "Security"
4. under privacy level, click block everyone, wait a second, and then click allow everyone.
5. sign out and try signing in on your own computer. it worked for me, hopefully it will work for you!

It's an AIM issue, across every client. Their servers were having problems. It's not an iChat specific issue.
