You can, when in iPhoto, control or right click a picture and select show in finder. However it isn't recommended to modify or move photos outside of iPhoto if you are going to be using iPhoto. If you make any changes outside of iPhoto it will break the link between iPhoto and the picture file itself they you will have to reimport any pictures you move or change.
