I am looking for a good freeware image editing software for doing basic corrections on photos. I am looking for a simple program just for enhancing color brightness and contrast. I have photoshop already but it is on my regular pc laptop. I need the software for my iBook ... it is an Ibook g3 700 with OSX tiger. and have not been able to find a good freeware program to do my editing please I am open to any suggestions for good software only please....

iPhoto is good if you already have the iLife suite.

I agree with DB, iPhoto is great for basic tasks and it should already be in your Applications folder. But if you want to go beyond those basic edits, I highly recommend Pixelmator. Its not free, but it's amazingly capable and fast, being coded specifically for OS X.

Liquid and computers don't mix. It might seem simple, but we see an incredible amount of people post here about spills. Keep drinks and other liquids away from your expensive electronics!
