Is any one here using Mac Speech Dictate? I got my hands on a copy and I have to say I am disappointed.
I was hoping to use it to transcribe interviews but the thing either puts words in my mouth or completely misinterpets what I am saying. I have completed all the training programmes, am using an expensive Plantronics microphone etc etc. The application is certainly a good idea for people with disabilities etc. For me though, I think I'd be quicker typing out the interviews (I can type at 40-50wpm) rather than dictating and editing out the mistakes the programme keeps making. Maybe I am expecting too much from speech recognition software. Has anyone here had a positive experience with it or similar software on the PC? |
