Is there a free program/app for the imac which can shrink my digital pics that i use for my website as they are 5million pixels so they are very big and i need to shrink them I can take my pics at 1.3 million pixels but i need to reduce the size and colours etc so my pictures still look good but they will load in alot faster I used Image well which does the trick but only got 7 days triel and don§t want to pay for it just in case i can get a free app that will do the same job

Do you have AppleWorks? A client of mine uses it almost exclusively for his many hundreds of photos. Procedure ...
1. AW -> Drawing
2. Drag .jpg (or similar) into a new drawing window
3. Select (or select all)
4. Go to Arrange (top menu bar)
5. Scale by Percent (reduce or enlarge)
6. File -> Save As (File Format - lower left in dialogue pane) JPEG [QT]

You're done!

which OS?

Leopard: Open the image in preview, Tools, adjust size. and done. East as that.

FYI: The iMac is the hardware, Mac (OS X) is the Operating System
