    I tried finding this....

    In order to keep a website created with iWeb, do you have to maintain a .mac account?

    Well, iWeb by default wants tom publish your pages to a .Mac account.

    However - there is nothing to stop you getting your own webspace and uploading an iWeb site from your sites folder to your host account using FTP
