Mac Mail sent problem

Am currently having this problem with Mac Mail. In the office, sending emails out from Mac Mail is not a problem. Back at home though, some emails sent out from this location does not seem to automatically save a sent mail into the sent folder. It happens randomly, am using IMAP. As such, I am unable to check with myself on whether or not I had really sent out the particular email in question. Tried to add a rule to do the above but it doesn't seem to work for outgoing emails. Does anyone have any idea on how I can ensure the above action is performed? Really appreciate your inputs!!
