Here's my question:

Is there a plugin for safari that can save downloads into designated folders based off of file type?

In other words, I would like to be able to download files and have them automatically placed in certain folders based off their extensions. Eg: Movies (avi, mov, wmv, etc) would go into a movie download folder while images would go into their respective image download folder, etc.

This would be extremely convenient for me.

Please Advise,

Thanks.

I've never heard of such a plug in....only know that you can designate the download location for all files. From there you can manually place things into other folders, and maybe, you can actually create an Applescript to move the various formats around.

SafariStand will let you organize into folders by date, don't know of any that will by file type.
