Im having a bit of an issue running my programs on my macbook pro, I have a MBP, that was bought right after the new processors came out cause it was about 500 dollars cheaper so i wanted to save some money.

My question is when ever I run programs such as Photoshop and Illustrator (Legit Copies) they seem to really bog down the system and they run really slow. When I had my old macbook with tiger on it they seemed to run fine. Anyone else experience this, is there away to make the computer run a little faster. Oh also my MBP gets hot and almost to the point of were the other day in my house i swear i could smell exhaust like maybe the fans are running like crazy, but maybe that was just me. Could Leopard and CS3 just not be as compatible?

I'm running leopard and have the entire CS3 design suite since I am going to school for graphic design, and it all runs smooth as could be for me. I'm running 4 gigs of ram though, so i recommend the boost.

Loving my MBP more and more everyday

What version of Photoshop are you running? CS2 bogs down the Intel Macs...CS3 works great on my MBP.

I agree, if you don't have 4GB of ram you will struggle with CS3.

What does CS3 mean?

You think 4 gb of ram is enough for any mac computer? Like not forcing it just using it... (No architecture stuff or anything that eats very much RAM)
