iTunes maxing out ram??

hey, so i just got an 07 black macbook, 2GB ram 2.2 GHz... and ive been keepin an eye on my activity monitor and noticed that iTunes will run up in the 200 mb range!! the only other things im runnin are firefox, and some MS office programs. is it maxing out like that just cuz there is that much available? or is this just not normal at all. its not really slowing anything down, just curious. thanx
