Safari downloads disappear from list

For some reason when ever i download anything from safari, once it downloads it disappears from the downloads list.

Im sure this is a stupid tick box in the preference but i cant find it,

please help

Safari > Preferences > General

A little over halfway down, there's a drop down list for "Remove download list items:"... change to your preference.
