How to remove contacts in Messenger...

I have just installed MSN Messenger on my ibook. Under the 'Contact' 'drop down, there is a 'Privacy' option: where you can move current contacts between the 'allow' and 'block' boxes.

How do I permanently remove users that are listed in the 'block' box?
