MacBook - Newbie: Software Required/Installed

The standard software with a Macbook, is it enough to get you going or do I have to spend a couple of hundred more to get the basics (word processing, movie watching, photos, home movie editing, etc.) Any help would be appreciated, you were new once |

quicksilver is sweet, i love it, and front row seems good for watching movies. i havent tried video editing yet.... go to the switcher forum, there is sticky with programs check them out. its very helpful thats what i did. |
