MacBook - 1 Second Start Up

I use a program on my computer called MacPilot (some of you prolly know it). Basically it allows you to really mess with your system behavior etc. From startup I had it set for a "1 second" startup delay from login. It was blazing fast but now its dropped back to it's default even-though its still set to 1 second.

Any help?

I don't know but do you really want to bypass RAM, SMART and other hardware related checks/ tests?

I was under the understanding that it does those checks before the log in screen (much in the same way as a windows machine). I believe it just dedicates the cpu to literally firing everything up right of the start, then it drops down to a normal cpu load.

Am I wrong, it certainly is more than just possible.

Then that really isn't a "one second startup"... more like a "one second login".

Oh, after login. You're not counting the time before that as startup time.

Yea, all that happens before login.
