Safari won´t open new window

Hi there!

Yesterday Safari quit working, it won't open any windows and sometimes I must force it to quit.

Thank you!

It was so simple. Safari was opening the pages in a duplicated screen that I didnt know was there and of course I couldnt see.
Thank God! Im so happy again!

I see your original question and your thank you after having found the solutions, but i don't see any mention of how specifically you resolved this. My mother is having the EXACT problem you were having, but I've got no clue as to how to undo whatever it was that she accidently did to stop the new windows going to some duplicate screen that doesn't exist. I can't even get Safari's preference panel to come up!!

Please describe how you handled the fix. Many Thanks!!!
