i got final cut pro 5.1.4
and my school film teacher asked me if its possible if i can just copy and paste the file and bring it to the schools macs and use it there so they can use 5.1.4 not 5.1.3( which is what they currently have)
so i need to locate where this file is...and i have no clue where it is.
do you guys have any clue where the file could be on my mac?

I think what the instructor is asking (just the way I interpret your words no offence) is wanting you to install your copy of Final Cut Pro newer version over what the school has, and that would be well um illegal if your FCP licence only entitles you to a single installation. Just my 2 cents

This is a multiplatform home !

The school should have a valid license for the software. So all they need to do is you do an update. That should bring their systems to final version of 5.1.4 (PowerPC version).
