I have noticed that I can purchase a .mac membership from ebay at a cheaper rate than the .mac website. However, it says it's .mac 4.0, whereas some are selling.mac 5.0
Is there any difference? Also, is it really worth the money? I use gmai but must admit I like the idea of a mac.com email address, but other than hosting photo's, which I can do just as easily via Facebook anyway, I'm not sure how much I'd use it. Or is it usually a case of the more you familiarise yourself with a Mac, the more you realise exactly what you can do with a .mac ccount, therefore using it more? |

There's no difference in version numbers.
As for whether it's worth it, that discussion has happened 1000 times here. I'd suggest doing a quick search and you'll find lots of great information. schweb | community leader flickr » facebook » twitter » tumblr » google+ » about.me Mac-Forums: On Twitter | On Facebook | On Flickr
