Safari beta problems

Since I got OS 10.5.2 and Safari 3 beta, the browser's given me speed problems worse than ever. Anyone else.

I've had to get a coffee while waiting for the OS to react about one pixel per 30 seconds to get the hidden dock up, then shift it sideways to get to the Safari icon (another coffee) just to be able to quit it, get onto Firefox 3 and back to normal.

It's like using System 7 with 4Mb of RAM. I come back to Safari but it's the same. No bother. Shame though. Wasting time getting the mouse pointer to the menu or dock Quit command...
