Is there an app to completely lock the mac for a set period of time so that no one (including the administrator) can log on? Thanks.

I don't think so, but I could be wrong. I know you can do this with parental controls, but you can't lock out the administrator as far as I know.

are you the admin? who else knows your password? and if they do, why not just change it to something the other people don't know and would not be able to figure out?

I just want to make it so that I can't access the computer until the time that i specify. I know it sounds strange but I spend way too much time on the computer and disabling it whenever i feel necessary is something I'd like to be able to do.

Give me access to your computer and I will become the admin.

Seriously though, if you have a problem then get help. There is actually a lot of new research on computer addiction. It shows the same neural pathways as gambling and sex addiction and can be just as troublesome.

Either that, or just leave where ever your computer is. If you have to study or whatever then just go somewhere, even just sit in your car (if you have one) where you can't use it.

The BEST way to make sure noone, including yourself, cannot use the computer is completely free actually... Provided you already own a hammer...
