I really want to play games on my mac. Is Virtual PC for Mac the only software I can buy to make PC games compatible?

Are you on an Intel Mac? If so, use Bootcamp to boot directly to Windows, so it will run natively.

One of the things I don't like is that you are limited to allocating 512Mb of RAM to VPC. I have 3Gb and can easily allot 1Gb, but it won't let me.

Yeah, they sell it. So I just get that, and I can run ANYTHING that is PC only compatible?

Applications, installations, downloads, webcams, anything and everything? That is awesome. >.>

Do you think it would slow a webcam performance down? Because PC games seems a bit too much for my 1GB G4 Powerbook.

I'm most likely going to get a Macbook soon.

Virtual PC is not intended for intense, heavy usage of Windows applications or external peripherals. It is meant to run a simple program, usually one at a time.
So, yes you would see a significant decrease in performance with a webcam under Virtual PC.

What kind of programs are you talking about exactly?

Well, I wouldn't run Photoshop or even iTunes on it. Maybe Handbrake, but ripping would be butt slow....
