Transmission & Port Forwarding

I recently downloaded Transmission but I've been getting crawling speeds despite having high speed broadband. Looking in Preferences, Port is closed. I've followed this tutorial on port forwarding but I still get the port closed message.

I use the BT Home Hub router for my internet which is hooked up through an airport extreme base for wireless. Both my Mac and PC are connected to the airport.

When I use Transmission of my PC, there's no problems - the port is open.

I have my Mac firewall switched on but it's set up to allow access for Transmission.

I'm not exactly clued up about all this stuff so I've no idea what I can do.

Can anyone help me?

(I have Mac OSX 10.5.6)

Did you set up port forwarding for your Mac on your router?

Yeah, I set up port forwarding on my router. I'm not sure if I've done it right but it looks like this:

I even disabled the firewall on my router temporarily to see if that would help but my port is still closed.

Transmission uses port 51413 by default. You want to forward UDP/TCP ports 51413 to the IP address of your Mac.

Make sure you close Transmission completely and then reopen when checking the port. It sometimes also helps to switch tabs in the preferences to get it to force a rescan.
