Question What is X11, where do I get it and how do I install it?

I just downloaded the open source app, Gimp. When I tried to start it, I got a message that said "Failed to start X11. Gimp.app requires Apple's X11". I have a 1.25GHz PowerPC G4 Powerbook running OSX 10.4.11. What is X11 and where do I get it? I googled X11 and got sent to developer pages. That scares me. Can I merely install this X11 thing and run the Gimp app like any other app.

X11 can be found on your restore discs that came with your computer.

There are no versions available for download for your OS version.
The only way to get it is to use the discs that came with your computer.

Cool

I could explain what X11 is but I find this is better.
