I like the new version but have gone back to the previous one. I use msn/hotmail and msn messenger far too much to be clicking after each sentence in msn messenger and not being able to check msn email (unless loading up firefox) put me off, but will definitely install when bugs fixed.
it doesnt suck that bad. ill keep using it and see if that changes
some sites are a bit weird as compared to the older safari, but things are loading well
Sometimes a page won't reload correctly when I hit the back button and I have to quit Safari and start over. Luckily it seems to start where I quit and then works normally for a while.
Sure wish I could uninstall Safari 4 and go back to Safari 3.2.1 until the bugs are worked out.
Apparently you can. Read on another forum of two people who uninstalled the Beta version and the old version was automatically there. (keep in mind you do so at your risk)
You can uninstall, I've done it back and forth at least 3 times checking things out.
The uninstaller is a separate pkg in the original download.

My problem is I can't figure out where coverflow is and I am a little confused if it is for history or bookmarks or both. Can someone help here? I have googled until I am blue in the face.
I do like the "top sites" feature.
I've been using Safari beta for about a week and love it. I don't use hotmail or gmail so haven't had a lot of issues reported here.
I, too, couldn't get used to the tabs on top mainly because it was too hard to find a "grab" spot if I wanted to drag the Safari window to the side.
Safari 4 is nice... I do not like how the top sites change... and I use msn messenger too much to deal with having to click after each sentence is typed and sent... so I am back to 3 and will go back when the bugs have been fixed!!

Coverflow appears both for the history and the bookmarks.

Has anyone noticed that when the first install and launch safari 4, the you get a some start up music and then a apple symbol flashes on the screen before going to top site? How do I get that start up music to play the next time I start safari 4. I didn't hear it to day and it when to the home page.
I have recently installed Safari 4beta. I recently swithced back to a mac.
Now in Safari there are tabs, tabs you can move by dragging the resize icon. Now I view my pages in full screen because thats how I like it. NOw from time to time I move tabs back and forth.
Now when I try to move I accidently move the whole window of safari.
Is there a way to have the safari window lock in full screen. ? so that I can not accidently move it - like the max option in windows
