Hi all,

I recently bought a Macbook, at home i use wireless internet but have recently moved away and now just use an ethernet cable. Safari connects to the net fine, but none of my programs (limewire, msn, adium) seem to be able to. Sorry, I'm sure this is fairly easy to fix, but I am fairly computer illiterate! Thanks in advance for any help you can give me!

System Preferences -> Security. Click the Firewall tab at the top. Select "Set access for specific services and applications.

In the dialog box below, add those applications that you want to have access to the internet. (Click on the + sign, add apps one at a time.)
