Is it possible to use a web cam, Logitech to be exact on aim to display my puuurty face to my friends using iChat? I don't care about audio, I just want them to get a visual of whre I work.

In aim when I select a friend, the video icon is gray, I can not select it.

In setup though if I go to Preferences, Live Video, and Select Video/Audio Tunning the settings are all fine.


Anyone know why I can not select it? Am I missing a plugin of some sort?

Which webcam. I know that many webcams need "thirdparty" software to operate. For instance, my Logitech Quickcam 3000 needs a separate driver to run under Yahoo messenger. (www.ioexperts.com)

If you spent less than $100 for the cam, then it probably needs an outside driver.

The driver costs about $20
