Mac-Forums Chat Nightly (server up)

I have decided to leave the Evur server up more often to support Mac-Forums chat nights. We use to have this a few months ago.. but it slowly died. Now that we have more members hopefully it will kick back up. We would love to have all of you.

Right now at 03_30_04 8:55pm central the server is up (I will change the thread when its down)

You can download the most recent client here. Its about 65k (about 1 second to download at any speed)

Please join up, and join the few users in the chat room now!

Sounds neat, why doesn't everyone use iChat? PS- downloaded the client and connected, I got disconnected immediately... no one was there PPS - what kind of chat client is it? very curious :confused:

hmm, i dont know what your problem was.. odd..

but we tried iChat/AIM and it failed horridly. Trust me, this will work out to be a better option.

Its a new chat client system, it has tons of features it will soon have in version 1.0.

Btw the server never said anyone tired to connect for a while..

I may know what it is actually. I ran it from other than the usual download destination.. could that be it? PS I e-mailed the Evur site BTW FYI

we've gota plan a day were all going to be on. More people have to see this thread.

I believe by next week we will have a new version of Evur released.

im on, but i cant type....well, i type...but nothing shows up in the window....

what do i need to put in as my name / password...?

witeshark: The same thing happened to me after I downloaded Evur.

Btw, I did use the Tracker to connect.

I'm also confused about the name/password issue.

hmm.. i dont know what you guys have in common.. and why it wont work..

open evur
click tracker
double click on the server
it will take you to the server.

that should be it...

you have a firewall?

yeah, the tracker lists how many people connected. but in your case your listed as a Null, and because nulls don't logg off ever, it just tallys up..

Alright, I think its a OS10.3 only.. and 10.2 is not enabled...

Once Evur is all running, will it be able to be used to log on any other IRC servers?

Right now at 04_01_04 8:35am central the server is down. The internet is down, and therefore no hosting can be done. I will inform you all when it is back up.

Evur is NOT Irc. Though we will think about allowing it to connect to IRC later on.
