They apparently hit one or got near one to set the alarm off. (On a 2006 Mustang GT I'll add).  Last year our next door neighbor's kid was throwing fireworks at my Aunt's dog when he came to visit us with her. He didn't get hit but we did catch it on video (we have low-aimed security cameras).
