    A bit of downtime
Last night we experienced some database trouble which took the forums offline and we apologize for that. Unfortunately, iWhat thought the server was a Twinkie and it took us awhile to get him to give it back to us...he doesn't share well.

Everything should be back to normal, but please post in this thread if you notice anything strange.

    Thanks!

I clicked on a member name a few minutes ago and it showed me a completely different member.

Additionally, I just got this a few minutes ago when trying to go to the main page:

Liquid and computers don't mix. It might seem simple, but we see an incredible amount of people post here about spills. Keep drinks and other liquids away from your expensive electronics!

Yeah, it might take some time for all the fixes to propagate across the server farm.

Just experienced a database issue here at 11:45 EST. Refreshing the page seemed to load MF though.

Just a heads up, if I check Who's online it only shows me, and once another user.

I should mention that if you're not already following us on Twitter, you should be. Not only is it fun anyway, but when the site's down we post updates there.

A cause has potentially been identified. They're working now to get a fix ready, it may mean another short downtime, but the end should be in sight.

I took the time to defrag my MBP for the first time.

LOL, I might do the same. Anyway the database errors are still showing up sporadically. If this continues, I might have to get outside and mow the lawn today. It's nice and cool right now - only 92 F!

    Regards.
