I have a powermac G5 DP 1.8
i spent a sh*t load on amp and speakers but i get distortion still and i think it could be the sound card onboard. is the sound on a powermac g5 good or should i upgrade to a card? i had my eye on this: http://www.m-audio.com/products/en_u...2496-main.html |

try turning down the output on your powermac. it may just be too loud. it also depends on what you are testing. I have pushed my ipod through soundsystems capable of handling 20,000 people and the preamp is fine. I would watch what you are using for sound.
If not, m-audio is great. I have a firewire 410 that i use here in my dorm room. --GOT PROTOOLS?-- |
