Hi there,

My teenage son has just discovered Garageband and is really hooked on it. His Apple Laptop is a:
IBOOK 14.1'' G3 900 ,640MB ,40GB , COMBO
and I purchased ILife 06 so he can get more into Garageband. Apparently the processor doesn't support ILife 06.

My question is this, can he update just Garageband without the rest? He uses a later version at school (ILife 06 I'm assuming) and wants that version at home.

Being a PC user I'm lost!

Thanks people, this has opened a whole new musical world for him and I'm keen to see him enjoy it!

I think when you pop in the install disk there's an option, customize, that let's you choose what you install.

Honestly though his iBook might struggle with Garageband 3.

Thanks for your help. Sadly it won't let us get that far, just says it needs a higher level processor.

Any other suggestions greatly appreciated!

Your out of luck. His computer is not able to run it.
