I'm in a band, and we want to use Garageband to record our songs, however when ever we hit 'record' in GarageBand, this annoying metronome thing keeps keeping time for us when we dont need it. How do I turn it offfff?

Go to the the overhead menu bar to CONTROL and deselect METRONOME,
Or just press COMMAND-U.
