I have a G5 imac and I am trying to get cassettes from my stereo to my comp. The stereo has an aux. and that is it. No line inputs or anything. is this enough? i try to hook the stereo up to my imic using RCA cables from the aux. port directly into the iMic but I get nadda. Is it still possible or do I need a dedicated lineout?

You can use an RCA to Mini cable running from the Macs Microphone jack. Attach two RCA connectors. Then just hook up a dual end Male RCA cable to the RCA connectors on one side and the AUX in on the Stereo. This is what I do.
If you use the iMic/USB, make sure you tell the Mac that you are using the iMic USB port for Sound input. ![]() Last edited by baggss; 07-13-2006 at 09:52 PM. |
