I edit music alot, but GarageBand doesn't seem like an efficient music editor to me. I mean, is there a music editor for Mac that can do the basics like cut, paste, and do effects like cross-fading or simple fading?

Check out Audacity - it might be what you want.

It's a multi-platform freebie.

Thanks dude. I knew about Audacity already. In fact, that's what I used when I had Windows. But I didn't know it was available for Mac! So thanks!
