So in febuary I am about to switch to android most likely be getting lg g2 or htc one and I want to know what is the best way to sync media to them from my mac? I have a bunch of albums on my itunes I want to transfer over also some movies/tv shows. Any ideas?Samsung Galaxy s4 4.4.2, Mac mini late 2012.

If the developer of your phone doesn't have software (or if it's terrible), you can try the official Android File Transfer app.
Video and audio support will depend on whether or not your phone has added support for non-standard formats. Regardless, here's the list of supported audio/video formats for Android.

Best I've found for audio is Rocket Player Premium and their iSyncr app - link.
Haven't synced any movies - have a boatload in Vudu and Amazon that can be downloaded/streamed directly.I cannot be held responsible for the things that come out of my mouth.
