Hi,

I'm very new to mac.

Having just put 10.8 on my early 2009 mac mini i find the midi settings have disappeared from Audio Midi Setup.

Audio Midi Setup shows just Audio Devices.

Before I upgraded to 10.8 there were two tabs in Audio Midi Setup, the second tab was for midi.

Any thoughts much appreciated.
David

Try this: Reset the SMC (System Management Controller). Follow the instructions from this Apple KB article. If that doesn't work also try a PRAM reset.

Thanks chscag,

I did both of those resets but I still see no midi settings.

Here is a screenshot of what Audio Midi Setup shows me.

Could you please confirm that I should be seeing a midi tab ?

Panic over...

Snow Leopard had 2 tabs but Mountain lion has 2 windows and the default after doing the osx upgrade was to only show one window.

Thanks for posting back. Sometimes it's the simple things we overlook. Have fun.
