Good morning all,

I have a set of speakers that I want to plug into the MAC in the speaker socket but for some reason my speakers wont show up in the System Preferences List?

The speakers I have plugged in are Cambridge Sound Works 2.1

Edit: Just to add they work fine when plugged into the headphone socket?

???

What speaker socket? The headphone jack "is" the speaker socket.

Suggest you provide what model Mac you have. There are only a few hundred of them.

It mihgalso help to know the model of speakers involved. Or at least the type of connections available.
