Good Morning,

I would like as much feedback as possible please, I am very near to buying a mac pro for DJ disco use! Would I be allowed to use my external hard drives which have all sorts of music files, I always used winamp to play and now I feel I need to improve my system, someone did suggest apple mac pro, but I need advice before I take the plunge, I also use a karaoke programme called show presenter and I take it that this would work fine.

I would appreciate any help and advice.

Many Thanks.

I am pretty sure who suggested this to you meant a MacBOOK Pro, not a Mac Pro.

I know nothing of Show Presenter but info on it is here: Sax & Dottys - Show Presenter

As chas_m suggests you may mean a MacBook pro. Mac Pros come in at about 35-40 pounds and are huge. Price for Show Presenter is 30.0.0 which equates to about $40-$50.

Hang on to those original install discs like grim death! Using OS X.7 or later make a bootable USB thumb drive before running Installer!
