Itunes shuffle function

How do I optimize my itunes shuffle function? It seems to be selecting the same songs from my playlists.

Mac Specs: 2012 MBP, Black speakers, Black Benq second monitor, black(ish) iPhone 5s, Black 2012 iPad, etc.

Shuffle is shuffle. You can't alter it.

The only thing I might suggest is to create a smart playlist based on the criteria of "least-played songs." Every time you sync this list, it will give you different material because you will have listened to the previous set of songs.
