My iTunes says I have 38.5 GB of music but About This Mac says I have 96.7 GB.. what I want to know is where is this extra 58.2 GB of music?? I always add my music to iTunes & always keep the files in the Downloads folder (some in the Music folder) but no where else.. I'm just baffled as to where almost 60 gigs could be hiding..

Any suggestions ? Sorry for the noob question, you can ask me anything about honda engines, or contracting.. computers just aren't my thing..

How many iTunes libraries do you have? iTunes itself will only account for the music content once, however, if you have other libraries, music content will be duplicated. If you're still having a problem accounting for disk space, download the free program "Disk Inventory X" and that will show you what's on your hard drive and how much space it's taking up.

Hey thanks man! This program was extremely helpful, I guess iTunes makes a copy when you add music to the library. I also found a bunch of ripped dvd's that i never watch. In all I freed up 139 GB
