Its all personal opinion really. Im a big fan of Pro Tools, and I use Logic quite a bit aswell. Try downloading demos or going into music shops and have a bit of a play with a certain DAW. For instance, you could go into an Apple store and have one of the reps introduce you to Logic, for example. they also sell Ableton in their stores too.
