AAC to MP3

I am a brand-new Mac convert. I wanted to make an mp3 disk from iTunes since I spent the first two weeks I've had it dropping my 20 year CD collection into iTunes. Is there an easy way to convert the standards iTunes song format back to mp3?

iTunes > Preferences > Import Settings > change "Import Using" to MP3 Encoder. After that, highlight all the songs you want to convert > right click > Create MP3 Version.
