itunes: how do I change the order of songs

How can I change the order of songs to be played in itunes. lets say i want to bring one song forward or push another back in the playlist; I cannot seem to do it by simply dragging and dropping like on winamp.

if its in a non-smart playlist then just click and drag between the 2 songs were you want it...(if that makes any sense)if its in libary just make a new play list

o if forgot for a regular playlist, you have to make sure that the very first section is highlighted, just click on it and then drag them around
