I have just got my imac today and when I tried to connect my iPod Touch to iTunes it is not recognised. Can anyone tell me how to connect it please?

I'll *assume* that you're referring to a brand new iMac since you didn't mention it. Would have been nice to tell us what model iPod Touch you have, what OS version its running, what version of iTunes you have and so on.

Presuming that you previously had this iPod Touch synced to another machine, you'll need to reset the iPod (erasing its contents) and re-sync it to this new machine.

If you want the same content on the touch that was on their before, you'll need to move it over from your previous computer to the new one (wide variety of ways to do this) and "authorise" the new machine if necessary.
